RVSI Receives Orders for Equipment to Read 2-D Bar Codes

The Acuity CiMatrix Div. of Robotic Vision Systems Inc. (RVSI), based in Nashua, N.H., has received an order valued at $175,000 from an automotive electronics supplier for machine vision equipment to track and trace printed circuit boards. The company's HawkEye 1500 series smart camera readers and DMxVerifier+ direct part mark quality verifiers will be used to read Data Matrix two-dimensional bar codes that encode lot, date and model numbers for electronic automotive parts.
