Holonyak Wins Lemelson-MIT Prize

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., April 26 -- Nick Holonyak, inventor of the LED, received the $500,000 Lemelson-MIT Prize for Invention at the 10th annual Lemelson-MIT Awards Ceremony, held Friday at MIT.
