New York Gov. George E. Pataki has approved the nation's first college of nanoscience, to be created at the State University of New York at Albany's (UAlbany) Center of Excellence in Nanoelectronics. The College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering will be led by UAlbany Professor Alain Kaloyeros, who will serve as vice president and chief administrative officer.
