OIDA Supports Common InP Foundry Model

The Optoelectronics Industry Development Association (OIDA) has devised a road map for the indium-phosphide technology market. Among its recommendations for streamlining operations, it suggests that optoelectronic device manufacturers develop a common InP foundry model. According to the report, the industry’s communications sector is weighed down by the overhead costs of internal InP fabrication facilities that are no longer financially viable.
