Corning Invests $15M in Clean-Air Products

CORNING, N.Y., March 30, 2006 -- Corning Inc. announced yesterday that it will spend approximately $15 million to expand the manufacturing capabilities for clean-air products at Corning Shanghai Co. Ltd. (CSCL) in Shanghai, China. Corning said its board of directors recently approved the capital expenditure, which will increase the manufacturing capability of the facility to meet anticipated demand for Corning advanced ceramic substrates for light-duty vehicle applications, including thin-wall products that deliver higher performance for emission reductions.
