Universal Display Awarded DOE Grants

Universal Display Corp. of Ewing, N.J., announced it was awarded two new Small Business Innovation Research phase I grants for $100,000 each from the US Department of Energy (DOE) for the enhancement of white organic LED (OLED) lighting using the company's phosphorescent OLED (PHOLED) technology and materials. Under the first grant, Universal Display will team up with its research partners at the University of Michigan and the University of Southern California to demonstrate a white OLED (WOLED) lighting device.
