Optikos Gets $3.4M for Optical Focus Verification System

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Aug. 14, 2006 -- Optikos Corp., a maker of optical image quality metrology equipment, announced that it has been awarded a $3.4 million contract from ITT Systems Inc. of Colorado Springs, Colo., to produce an optical focus verification system (OFVS) for telescope-to-film and telescope-to-CCD camera image plane alignment. The OFVS will be used by the US Air Force on five of the large-aperture launch tracking telescopes at the Eastern Range, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station (CCAFS), Fla.
