4D Technology Names James Millerd President

4D Technology Corp. cofounder James Millerd, PhD, has been named president of the company, a maker of optical metrology instruments for astronomy, aerospace, data storage, semiconductors and other industries, the Tucson, Ariz.-based company announced today. Millerd succeeds John Hayes, who is retiring.
