Konarka Technologies of Lowell, Mass., has appointed Therese “Terri” Jordan as vice president of business development. A leader in developing markets for new materials and technologies in the field of polymers, she will lead the company’s efforts to focus on the commercialization and mass production of its patent-protected thin-film solar material fabricated from organic photovoltaics. Jordan has 20 years of progressive experience in B2B innovation and, most recently, 10 years in global marketing. Previously, she was global marketing director at Victrex plc, a provider of high-performance polymer materials. She spent 15 years at General Electric Co. in various capacities, including as global market director, polymer physicist, product developer and quality leader. She is the recipient of various awards, is the author of 10 publications and holds four patents. Jordan also will manage research agreements and coordinate business development strategy with Total sa, one of the largest publicly traded integrated international energy companies in the world.
