MENLO PARK, Calif., June 16, 2009 – It has now been confirmed that there is an exotic type of material that could one day provide dramatically faster, more efficient computer chips. Physicists at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory and Stanford University confirmed the recently predicted and much-sought material, which allows electrons on its surface to travel with no loss of energy at room temperatures and can fabricated using existing semiconductor technologies.
