Eastman Kodak Co.’s Health Group of Rochester, N.Y., and National Digital Medical Archive Inc. of Berwyn, Pa., have partnered to integrate their products for the European mammography market as it moves toward digital imaging. Kodak has agreed to provide technologies such as its Carestream information management product, which combines software, hardware and professional services to give multiple health care facilities access to archived content. The other company will supply tools for visualization and quality assurance. Used together, the technologies should allow institutions to more efficiently manage, process and archive images. The two companies also intend to introduce a citizens’ health portal that will enable patients to upload and store their digital medical images.
