The FDA has granted Heidelberg Engineering GmbH of Heidelberg, Germany, clearance for its combined spectral domain optical coherence tomography and laser angiography system. The Spectralis HRA + OCT scans the retina 40,000 times per second and allows clinicians to use indocyanine green and fluorescein angiography, autofluorescence and infrared modalities to obtain cross-sectional images of its structure.Read full article
