Agilent Divests Varian Assets to Bruker

BILLERICA, Mass. & SANTA CLARA, Calif., March 11, 2010 – Agilent Technologies will sell certain product lines of Varian Inc. to Bruker Corp., the companies announced this week. Divesting certain business segments was a key requirement for obtaining regulatory approval of its Varian acquisition, Agilent said. The product lines to be acquired by Bruker include Varian’s inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) instruments business located in Melbourne, Australia; its global laboratory gas chromatrography (Lab GC) instruments business located in Middleburg, The Netherlands; and its gas chromatography triple-quadruple mass spectrometry...Read full article
