Santa Barbara, Calif.-based Asylum Research Corp., a scanning probe/atomic force microscopy (AFM) provider, has delivered a Cypher AFM and an MFP-3D-BIO AFM to the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Melbourne in Australia. The AFMs will be used to develop nano-scale experiments and theories to measure and predict interactions, collisions and coalescence between droplets and bubbles that underpin applications of foams, emulsions and other soft matter materials.
