QD Vision Produces Highest-Res QD-Based Active Matrix Display

WATERTOWN, Mass., Jan. 20, 2011 — QD Vision Inc. has announced demonstration of the world’s highest-resolution quantum dot-based active matrix display. The US Army commissioned the project under a Phase II Small Business Innovative Research Program. The portable microdisplay imaging system, which features SVGA resolution (800 × 600-pixel count) and a 15.6-mm diagonal, employs proprietary quantum dot light-emitting-diode (QLED) technology.
