Advanced materials provider NanoPhotonica announced the mass production commercialization for its breakthrough QLED display technology. NanoPhotonica’s S-QLED technology improves picture quality and power consumption achieved by recently introduced OLED displays. In addition, it reduces cost and improves lifetime beyond what OLEDs can achieve, the company said. It is currently working with several display manufacturers to commercialize devices based on its proprietary technology. Previous work in independent laboratories has identified performance advantages.
