Proximion Opens Plant in Sweden

KISTA, Sweden, March 4, 2011 — Proximion Fiber Systems AB announced the opening of new production facilities in Kista in response to increased demand for its dispersion compensation modules (DCMs) based on fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs). The new plant will allow the company to reduce production costs and more efficiently utilize its personnel. In addition, the company said, it will be able to more accurately schedule delivery times and will decrease lead times by nearly 75 percent.
