FluxData Licenses RIT Imaging Patent

ROCHESTER, N.Y., May 18, 2011 — Multispectral imaging systems provider FluxData Inc. has licensed patent No. 7,554,586 from the Rochester Institute of Technology, titled “System and Method for Scene Image Acquisition and Spectral Estimation Using a Wide-Band Multi-Channel Image Capture.” Developed at the Munsell Color Science Lab at RIT, the technology will allow FluxData to develop low-cost, highly color accurate camera systems for a range of applications and markets, including defense, security, surveillance, entertainment, medical and life sciences, industrial vision and agriculture.
