SAN JOSE, Calif., March 1, 2012 — Electronic and electro-optic components supplier GigOptix Inc. announced it has booked a $1.8 million purchase order for its 100G Mach-Zehnder modulator (MZM) quad-driver, a customized version of the GX62451, for a Tier 1 telecom 100G dense wavelength division multiplexing networking system. The GX62451 100G dual-polarization quadrature phase shift keying (DP-QPSK) driver is a four-channel MZM driver designed for 100-G DP-QPSK long-haul optical transmitters.
