II-VI Infrared Continues CVD Facility Expansion

SAXONBURG, Pa., June 7, 2012 — II-VI Infrared, a business unit of II-VI Inc., is continuing expansion of its chemical vapor deposition (CVD) diamond facility. Optical CVD diamonds are used in applications such as multispectral laser optics and dielectric windows. Most recently, CVD diamonds have been used to handle extreme laser powers, including those in extreme-ultraviolet lithography.
