Biolase Patents Laser Tech for Eye Conditions

IRVINE, Calif., Feb. 14, 2013 — The US Patent and Trademark Office has issued dental laser manufacturer Biolase Inc. a patent covering the use of its laser technologies for treating eye conditions. Patent No. 8,366,702, titled “Methods for Treating Hyperopia and Presbyopia via Laser Tunneling,” expands the laser application of previous ophthalmic patents granted to Biolase.
