Flir Awarded $137M Navy Contract

WILSONVILLE, Ore., Aug. 30, 2013 — Flir Systems has been awarded a $136.6 million contract to supply the Navy with Brite Star II gimbaled electro-optical/infrared imaging systems. Providing intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, detection, identification and targeting capability in manned or unmanned operations, Flir’s technology will support the Navy’s UH-1 program and the Vertical Takeoff Unmanned Aerial Vehicle program.
