Infinera Corp. chief financial officer Ita Brennan will resign, effective Feb. 28, 2014, to pursue another opportunity at a technology start-up, the company said this week. Brennan, who has served as Infinera’s CFO since June 2010, joined the company in 2006 and served in various roles in its finance group prior to her promotion to CFO. She will continue to direct Infinera’s finance activities until her departure. The company will start a search for a successor and expects to announce its plans on or before her resignation date, the company said. “We are grateful to Ita for her many years of service to Infinera,” said CEO Tom Fallon. “She has built a strong financial team at the company and has been an outstanding leader both inside and outside Infinera. We wish her the very best.” Infinera uses semiconductor technology to make large-scale photonic integrated circuits used in intelligent transport networks — an architecture for carriers to exploit the increasing demand for cloud-based services and data center connectivity as they advance into the terabit era of communications.
