KENLEY, England, Dec. 17, 2013 — Optical Surfaces Ltd. will provide the Samsung Thales R&D Center in South Korea with a high-precision off-axis parabolic mirror for testing large visible and IR optics, the company said Tuesday. Optical Surfaces will supply the mounted, 600-mm-diameter mirror through its local distributor, Jeewoo Photonics Ltd. The high-precision (surface accuracy λ/20) off-axis parabolic mirror will be used by Samsung’s optical system design team as a universal collimator system to test optics under development for use in the company’s next generation of thermal imaging and...Read full article
