Nanotronics Imaging has enhanced its technical team with the appointments of a new chief technology officer and a new science director. Nicolas Heron has been named CTO. He brings 18 years of industry experience, including in storage virtualization, medical imaging and cryptography, to the company. Heron holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the Higher Institute of Electronic North in France, and his professional accomplishments include assisting in the development of the Zura and EVO ultrasound imaging platforms, as well as the ClariTEE probe. Nanotronics has also named Paul Roossin as its new science director. With 12 years of experience in the field, his research includes focus on neural substrates of memory, as well as creation of the first statistical machine translation system through IBM’s T.J.
