Cell Robotics Sells IVF Technology to Hamilton Thorne

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., July 6 -- Hamilton Thorne Research (Beverly, Mass.) has bought Cell Robotics International Inc.'s In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) technology for the laser-assisted hatching of fertilized human ova for $100,000 and an ongoing 12 percent royalty stream. Hamilton Thorne will incorporate the IVF laser-assisted hatching technology with its marketing and sales campaign for sperm-analysis technology to provide better instrumentation to improve a woman's chance of becoming pregnant, the company said.
