PerkinElmer Optoelectronics introduced a new 10 Gb/s receiver product and the 512 Multiplexed InGaAs PIN Photodiode Detector Array used in optical networking applications. PerkinElmer’s new product offering enables a more effective use of already existing fiber optic cable as well as an answer to transporting larger volumes of data, faster across existing optical networks. The new 10 Gb/s PIN receiver is a high sensitivity device designed to meet the most stringent performance and reliability requirements for long, intermediate or short-range applications. PerkinElmer’s fiber optic receiver modules are ideal for dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) systems, high-speed networks, test equipment, digital video transmission equipment/CATV and synchronous optical network (SONET) transmission equipment. "We are excited to unveil such strong additions to our telecom product line. We remain well positioned as a leading independent provider of high quality receiver products and test systems with a recognized, best-in-class, global manufacturing infrastructure," said John J. Engel, president of PerkinElmer Optoelectronics.
