thermograph

The instrument used to collect thermal radiation information on an object by scanning. It consists basically of a detector, a photoconductive element that converts incident radiation to an electrical signal. The thermal radiation is focused onto the detector by an arrangement of reflective optics, elements of which scan the object vertically and horizontally.
