pSlidesVelmex Inc. offers precision BiSlide assemblies for positioning and scanning in testing and automation. The slides have dual 45° V-ways for high rigidity in all directions, and the carriage moves on low-friction, adjustable compound bearings. A hard-coated aluminum-alloy extrusion measuring 3.4 x 2.15 in. with an I-beam cross section optimizes strength to weight. The company says the modular design and external base T-slots allow unlimited multiaxis configurations without adapter plates or brackets. The slides offer travel ranges from 5 to 80 in., load capacity of 300 lb, thrust load of 100 lb, repeatability of 0.0002 in. and straight line accuracy of 0.003 in. over the entire travel distance.
