The UltraSpeedStar CCD camera by LaVision GmbH uses 1280 x 1024-pixel resolution with a framing rate of up to 1 MHz for a maximum of 16 images. The images are independent, with individually adjustable interframe and exposure times. The camera achieves a 12-bit dynamic range and a low read noise. It can be synchronized to a variety of light sources, including copper vapor lasers, diode-pumped solid-state lasers or flashlamps. Windows NT/98 DaVis software is provided for data acquisition and processing.
