Texas Advanced Optoelectronic Solutions Inc. (TAOS) has unveiled models TSLR257, TSLB257 and TSLG257, optoelectronic sensors that detect red, blue and green, respectively. The devices are built on a light-to-voltage converter platform with a deposited color filter. This integrated approach, the company says, is cost-effective. For color measurement, the devices are used individually; for color identification, they may be used in any combination. Applications include CRT screens; color tone scanning on printed materials, paints and cosmetics; medical diagnostics; and fluorescence and mark detection.
