Directed Light Inc. offers a vision alignment system as an option with its integrated laser systems. It is used for automatic alignment of parts for precise processing, maximum throughput and postprocess analysis. The machine vision alignment process provides data gathering and SPC record-keeping required for ISO 9000 compliance. When used in conjunction with one of the company's laser welding systems, a seam locator is incorporated into the vision system, enabling the detection of weld seams and laser realignment.
