LC/APC connectors and adapters used for small-form-factor applications have been released by Alliance Fiber Optic Products Inc. The 8° connectors are designed to deliver long-term stability under a variety of conditions and are compatible with current industry LC/APC products. The company says that the connectors feature high repeatability, low backreflection, ease of assembly and patented metal body for strength. They are available with a 3- or a 2-mm or a 900-µm cable boot. A line of adapters is also available to support the LC/APC termination.
