The PI F-206 six-axis positioning system is now available from Physik Instrumente. It provides 1-µm accuracy and six degrees of freedom and allows the user to define the pivot point. Rotation about the pivot point is specified for any axis of rotation. Travel range is ±7 mm (XYZ) and ±5° (UX,UY,UZ), and maximum velocity is 15 mm/s. Applications include optical device testing, fiber alignment, and micromachining and manufacturing.
