Optikos Corp. has launched the OpTest NVG, a modular system for characterizing a variety of image-intensified night-vision devices. This versatile, automated measurement station enables users to efficiently test the modulation transfer function (MTF) of the objective, tubes and eyepiece optics of night-vision imaging systems. The company says that MTF measurement is a more direct and accurate measure of system performance over a full spatial frequency range than other forms of optical testing. OpTest NVG also tests other optical parameters of night-vision optical subassemblies and complete imaging devices.
