The Multipath Testing Option has been released by Exfo Electro-Optical Engineering Inc. for use with its IQ-12004B DWDM passive component system to test optical cross connects, DWDM multiplexers and arrayed components such as optical attenuators. Parameters measured include insertion, polarization-dependent and optical-return losses. The system integrates an optical switch inside a flexible software environment and can perform spectral characterization of multiple components or of components that have multiple input ports.
