The DL Series high-power fiber-pigtailed laser systems from IPG Photonics Corp. are available in output powers of 2 to 100 W and in continuous-wave or pulsed operation at 965 nm. The lasers are offered in an optical mode configuration and as a complete, integrated system that includes a power supply and a fan-based cooler. Both configurations allow real-time monitoring via standard interfaces. The company says the diode lasers can operate continuously for many years without TE cooling, even at ambient temperatures of more than 60 °C. They offer high wall plug efficiency and a total efficiency of 50% to 55%.
