The 510-Series optical power meters provide autoranging readout in nanowatts, microwatts, milliwatts, decibels and decibels above 1 mW. These devices from Cercis Inc. are available with interchangeable FC, ST, SC and 2.5-mm universal connectors and with LC, MU or SMA adaptors. Four detector options in InGaAs, germanium or silicon cover a range of power inputs and wavelengths, with standard NIST-traceable calibration points. Up to eight custom calibration wavelengths also may be selected for each instrument. The power meters, which are housed in a compact thermoplastic case that measures 3 x 5 x 1 in., include an AC port and battery.
