The VC 2028 smart camera from Vision Components GmbH is a complete image processing system with a computational power of 1200 MIPS. The camera, which is designed for industrial applications, has 16-MB SDRAM image/data memory with 2 MB of flash EPROM for programming and storage. The VC 2028 can acquire full-frame, 640 x 480-pixel images at 20 fps. The process interface allows four inputs and four outputs. Video output is provided via an 800 x 600, 46.875-MHz SVGA monitor.
