A scalable test platform for fiber optic manufacturing has been launched by Exfo Electro-Optical Engineering Inc. The IQS-500 intelligent test system can run up to 100 test modules with one controller unit. It features a Windows 2000 operating system, a Pentium III processor and standard interfaces for remote operation. The IQS-500 is compatible with the company's high-performance test modules, which include high-speed power meters, light sources, WDM laser sources, tunable laser sources, variable attenuators, optical spectrum analyzers, polarization controllers and optical switches.
