DiCon Fiberoptics Inc.'s new eight-channel wavelength division
multiplexer (WDM) was developed to multiplex or demultiplex signals in
dense WDM systems with eight wavelengths. Employing optical
interference filter technology, the instrument's design is optimized
for thermal stability. It features channel isolation up to 30 dB,
channel spacing from 1.6 to 8 nm, channel passbands from 0.8 nm,
0.6-dB-per-channel insertion loss and polarization dependence loss of
0.05 dB.
