Oxford Lasers Inc.'s FiberSheet delivers high-power laser beams in a thin, light sheet for flow visualization and particle image velocimetry. Traditionally, a flow event takes place in an enclosed volume, which is difficult to access with conventional beam delivery optics such as lenses and mirrors. Safety is also a problem in these setups because the beam path is exposed between the output of the laser head and the experimental setup. The FiberSheet transmits the beam easily and safely to the test fixture.
