The P-9710-2 optometer from Gigahertz-Optik Inc. features a pulse-energy mode for on-site measurement of flashing or modulated light sources. This handheld device can measure the pulse energy of both single- and multiple-pulsed events >1 ms. The system bandwidth, independent of signal magnitude, is 0.166 Hz to ≥300 MHz within the measurement range of 0.1 pA to 2 mA. It also offers an adjustable sampling time from 100 µs to 6 s. A range of UV-VIS-NIR detectors is available for measuring the luminous intensity of strobe light warning signals and the radiant energy of pulsed xenon sources used in UV curing equipment.
