Micro Laser Systems has launched OEM and laboratory configurations of violet diode lasers that produce diffraction-limited circular beams. The lasers provide 18 mW of CW output and 23 mW of pulsed output. With optics that enable generation of submicron spot sizes while minimizing wavefront error to below */10, they are suitable for DVD mastering, printing, confocal microscopy, materials and particle analysis, and genomics.
