A multichannel optical power meter with eight independent optical input channels has been launched by Thorlabs Inc. The OPM8FC uses either an RS-232 or a National Instruments data acquisition card. Each optical input is sampled with an internal 16-bit analog-to-digital converter for increased data transfer rates. Other features include NIST-traceable calibration, a telecom wavelength range of 1300 to 1600 nm, switchable operating line voltage and device drivers with executable programs.
