StellarNet Inc. has released spectrometers based on InGaAs detectors for the near-IR wavelength range from 0.9 to 1.7 µm. The EPP2000 NIR InGaAs spectrometers use SMA 905 fiber optic input and have a 2.75 x 4 x 6-in. enclosure. Various operational ranges and optical resolutions from 4 to 0.2 nm are available. The InGaAs detector is a linear photodiode array with a thermoelectric cooler and 512 pixels that are 25 µm wide at a 25-µm pitch. Applications include transmission, reflectance and thicker thin-film measurements; absorption and moisture analysis; tunable laser characterization; and optical power monitoring.
