Introduced by Newport, the 2930-C dual-channel optical power meter works in conjunction with the company's 918/818 free-space Ge, Si and InGaAs detectors to achieve coverage from 190 to 1800 nm and to fulfill most optical power measurement requirements. The meter, which has a 131-dBm power range with an attenuator, can be incorporated into an automated measurement system or used as a benchtop test station. Detector adapters for standard fiber optic connectors can be installed on the device, which also features USB, GPIB and RS-232 interfaces and software drivers for system integration.
