The LDD4000 from HiTek Power is a laser diode driver housed in an 8-kg rack-mount module. It can be used in direct-diode laser systems, in applications requiring pumping of YAG lasers and, when power higher than the maximum 4500 W is needed, can be operated in parallel with multiple devices. Featuring 1 to 100 A at 15 to 45 V, the driver can operate in CW and pulse modes. Output current is controlled by a 0- to 10-V control voltage, and stability is better than 0.2%, with a minimum of 0.1 A. Ripple and noise are <1 A, maximum input current is 10 A per phase, and rise time from 0 to full current is <100 µs. The company offers customized versions for specific OEM requirements.
