The 6500 series photostability chambers from Caron are designed to meet FDA and ICH requirements for photostability testing. Near-UV and visible light testing is done simultaneously using fluorescent D65 lamps, in accordance with ICH Q1B option 1. Lamp intensity and exposure level are displayed by a calibrated digital light meter, and the lamps shut off automatically after a programmed exposure level is reached. The chambers have forced-air convection for uniform internal temperature and humidity conditions. The company says that the 6500 models also feature easily changeable lamps and highly reflective interior surfaces.
