The TSL-210 tunable laser source from Santec Corp. has 10-mW optical output and an 80-nm tuning range. A fine-tuning mode function allows for continuous wavelength tuning, and the front panel display eases operation. Additional features include automatic power control, coherence control, GPIB and RS-232 interfaces, and a wavelength calibration function. It can be used in applications from the research lab to fiber optic communications.
